The Sports: Lower Extremity course will review knee anatomy, biomechanics and imaging. It will cover ligament, meniscal, and patellar injuries and treatments as well as patellar instability, overuse injuries, rehabilitation, and return to play. It will also review athletic hip disorders, stress fractures, dislocations, nerve entrapment and tendon injuries. Head and neck injuries such as concussion, stinger/burner syndrome, and spear tackler's spine will also be discussed.
The Sports: Upper Extremity course will cover shoulder anatomy, imaging and arthroscopy as well as review shoulder disorders including instability, impingement, rotator cuff pathology and Little Leaguer shoulder. It will also cover muscle ruptures, acromioclavicular arthritis and instability, scapular winging, suprascapular nerve entrapment, sternoclavicular joint subluxation and dislocation, adhesive capsulitis, and calcific tendonitis.
The Hand & Wrist course will review disorders and injuries of the hand and wrist and their treatment options. Injuries and disorders covered include: radial and ulnar fractures, carpal tunnel injuries, DRUJ fracture and instability, scaphoid fractures, metacarpal and phalangeal injuries, tendon injuries, overuse syndrome, nerve palsies, injuries, and neuropathies, arthritis, and hand tumors. Treatment topics include: operative and non-operative fracture treatments, tendon transfer, arthroplasty, soft tissue coverage, and replantation.
